Elizabeth Oates Tells me The Mission Hall at Port Erroll has had a sympathetic restoration of its exterior and the internal restoration is ongoing. It will eventually house the Village Archive. Here is a photo from the 1960s when the Morrice Family had their Railway Carriage Holiday Home next door. ( The Carriage is long gone.) Does anyone remember the Meetings held in the Mission Hall in the1960s by visiting Religious Groups, they gave the Children small gifts for attending at the end. This certainly boosted their numbers.

Did the model railway club not operate from the rail carriage? Sure I remember going to see the trains one gala time. Would have been in the 80s

Wasn’t there a fire in this carriage??

Remember them well and if the weather was nice the meetings were held on the beach.

The Gideons. And they used to give out little books for you to take home.
