A new opportunity for friendship, community, and creativity is coming to Cruden Bay with the launch of the Cruden Bay Men’s Shed.

Men’s Sheds have grown in popularity across Scotland and beyond, offering spaces where people can meet, share skills, and work on practical projects in a friendly and welcoming environment. They provide a place not only to learn and create, but also to chat, support one another, and strengthen community ties.

The Cruden Bay Men’s Shed is in its early stages, and we are looking for locals (Both Men and Women) to shape what it will become. Whether you’re keen on woodwork, DIY, gardening, crafts, or simply looking for good company, your ideas and input will help set the direction of the Shed.

About The Event

Following our start-up meeting on Thursday, 23rd October, those present agreed to extend the invitation for others to get involved in the early stages of planning and setting up this new group. Ideally, we would like to hear from other interested individuals over the next three weeks so that we can get together and move things forward. If you are interested in finding out more or in helping set up Cruden Bay Men's Shed, please register your details now so we can include you in our communications. NOTE: We are using a WhatsApp group as our primary communication tool, if you have a mobile number, please share it in the registration process in order that we can add your name to the group. If you do not use WhatsApp, we will keep you updated by other means e.g. a Men's Shed Facebook page and/or email.

Parking and Accessibility

The Men’s Shed will be located behind the Old Congregational Church in the centre of the village. There is a public car park beside the Church, and a further parking area across the road at the Dardinels, overlooking the Trygve Gran memorial.

There are no official parking restrictions beyond general road safety and respectful etiquette. Please do not park on grass verges or block driveways, and always ensure access is maintained for emergency vehicles. Being mindful of the needs of residents helps ensure a positive experience for everyone.
