Sunday School Picnic – early 1900’s

I’ve no info on this one at all, it was among some Cruden Bay photos that were given to me a few years ago. The building behind them looks very much like the village hall.

I have this photograph. That’s my mother, second row from the front, third child from the left. She has a ribbon in her hair and is standing behind the child with the hat on. The photograph was taken on the day of the Sunday School picnic. I remember her telling me that the poor, shoeless child hadn’t been invited (the family probably not church-goers), and that her mother had put her there just before the picture was taken.

I have this photo and I have some names on it as my mothers siblings are in it. Unfortunately I don’t have a date. My mother was the youngest of 5 and she’s not in the photo (perhaps too young). She was born 1915 so it could be dated round about that time. I will have to look it out and will come back with the names I have.
