Get clothes, jewellery & small electrical items mended by volunteers. Pass-it-on-table. Coffee & a biscuit.

The Hatton Repair Café is a community-driven initiative in Hatton, near Peterhead, Scotland, dedicated to promoting sustainability by repairing household items and reducing waste. Held at Hatton Public Hall, the café typically operates on the first Wednesday of each month from March to November, between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM .

At these events, volunteers offer free repairs for various items, including clothing, jewelry, and small electrical appliances. Additionally, the café features a “Pass-it-on Table,” allowing attendees to exchange items they no longer need for something they might find useful . The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging visitors to enjoy a hot drink, a biscuit, and friendly conversation while waiting for repairs.

While the services are free, donations are appreciated to support the café’s operations. The initiative not only helps individuals save money but also fosters community spirit and environmental consciousness by keeping items out of landfills
